Seems like we have just about forgotten the WAR, the Economy, and the Alien problems of people streaming into our country with no medical vaccines or attention. How could this just pop up now as a mutation of genetic genes carrying the foot prints of human, bird AND swine from 3 other continents.? Will this virus just go underground to mutate and come back with a roar in 24 months? No in that time we will have vaccinations against the original disease, but as the disease mutates we will be at risk. Whatever happened to the influenza of the 1918 era, did it actually die out or has it been hanging out and mutating.? **************An Excellent Credit Score is 750. See Yours in Just 2 Easy Steps! Unlikely. It just hits a "raw nerve" so to speak in our immune system, pushing it into severe overdrive. The immune system has a very high level of priority in the human body, and can make a person very weak by drawing immense levels of resources. However, it is important to remember that we did have a recent bird flu virus which was commonly believed to have very high death rates, only to find out it wasn't so. Researchers went to home in Southeast Asia to test antibody levels for that flu, finding most people already had antibodies. Most were able to remember some flu at about the right time, which was mild. In rural areas where the resource-cost of going to a formal doctor or formal hospital is high, only those who had very severe cases were transported to hospitals. And of those, a high percentage died because they were already in very bad shape. It is likely this is the case with this new Mexican virus. Only those who had severe problems went to the hospitals, where a high percentage of them died. The vast majority of the people did not have enough trouble, and because of the cost and trouble, they never sought any reportable medical care. > How could this just pop up now as a mutation of genetic genes carrying the > foot prints of human, bird AND swine from 3 other continents.? Flu viruses occur when bird flus and pig flus mix, usually on farms where pigs and ducks are raised. These viruses have typically been spread by migrating water fowl. The usual origins are in China, where pigs and ducks are commonly raised on the same farm. > Will this virus just go underground to mutate and come back with a roar > in 24 months? No in that time we will have vaccinations against the > original disease, but as the disease mutates we will be at risk. Dr. Cathcart has advocated maintaining a high level of ascorbate (Vitamin C) consumption as the best defense against viruses. When I was billing clients by the minute as a professional consultant, at any trace of the flu or cold, I'd overdose myself in vitamin C, even to the point of running in for an IV drip. With that, I'd not miss more than one day from the flu, colds, etc. If I started trying to overdose myself with 10 grams of C per hour when the first depression-like weakness was felt, I could kick the cold or flu in 12 - 24 hours. (After which I'd have to spend some time on the porcelin fixture. But I felt GOOD by that time!) Dr. Cathcart's articles on vitamin C are at http://www.mall-net.com/cathcart/ . The Titrate article is particularly interesting, laying out the rational and typical doses. > Whatever happened to the influenza of the 1918 era, did it actually die out > or has it been hanging out and mutating.? Given that the replication of a virus involves a mix and match process, it is unknown if any really did survive other than in laboratory specimens. The initial cases were not numerous, according to an article I read years ago. The next year, it is believed that this was stirred up on a military base when bird crap was being moved. It was spread as military personnel moved with the war effort, eventually spreading to Europe as well as much of the USA. If I am not mistaken, that Spanish Flu may have killed more people than the military activity of WW-I. -J- (John, Javilk at mall-net.com) CAUTION: I'm no doctor, I only tell computers what to do.
