To think, a strange little man, with a brain unlike the thousands of people around him. His odd brain developed an instrument that 500 years later would take us humans off planet. I myself find it fascinating that humans produce children that have the ability to change the course of humanity for all time to come. Looking at the time line of inventions, it boggles my mind that the flush to ilet was invented before the eating utensil the fork. This gives me thought, all the mad scientists out there that concentrate on improving our daily lives, their inventions snow ball through the ages, morph into things that they the inventors never could imagine. As I look about my home I see that I live with things that was invented 900 years ago. I also see things that was invented 15 years ago, 10 years ago 2 years ago. I also see that in the last 100 years, all inventions are first looked at by all Governments with the eye of , "can this be used as a weapon ? So, can anyone of you think of any new invention shown on the t.v. stations that castor to the buy now folks that look like they may benefit humanity in any way down the road???? Regards Vesta The greatest gift I was given as a child, was the love of the written word. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... This will likely require substantial immunosuppresive drugs, much as most transplants require today. ROCHESTER -- Plans continue moving ahead on what engineers say will be a fi rst-of-its-kind project to pipe methane gas 12? miles from a landfill to power the University of New Hampshire. The goal is to energize 85 percent of the campus for at least 25 years and save millions of dollars in the process. The pipeline would run from Rochester's Turnkey Landfill to UNH, where it would feed the university's new co-generation plant that provides heat and cooling to campus and generate electricity. Landfill gas is created from decomposing trash and is made up of 50 percent methane, the primary component of natural gas. The University of California in Los Angeles gets some of its energy from landfill gas, but planners say UNH's project would be much larger. UNH hopes to begin construction in the spring and start up the system at the end of next year. _Print this Story_ (http://www.seacoastonline.com/cgi-bin/printstory/printstory.cgi) _Email this Story_ (http://www.seacoastonline.com/cgi-bin/birdcast.cgi) _Discuss this Story_ (http://www.seacoastconnects.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=55) The greatest gift I was given as a child, was the love of the written word. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
