Message-ID: <20101104233104.A33064@mall-net.com> Recent article suggestsmost of the genome, including the human genome is in large part unneeded junk. mad-scientists at Mad-Scientists.ORG I couild argue that ionic or free radical caused mutations woule be less likely to occur on vital sections if there is more junk to both mathematically reduce the probability of a random mutation occuring at a vital section, and to sheild the core portions of the genome by the way it all this genetic material wraps around itself. Comments? Counterpoints? Ideas??? The sdcilence has been deafening on this list since Clyde left. He may have been truly mad; but he got us talking.
